🏌️♂️7 Golf Side Hustle Ideas
If you're here, chances are you eat, breathe, sleep (& repeat) the game of golf. Maybe you're the designated tee time booker in your group chat. Maybe your WFH setup just happens to include “testing” out your swing in the sim (purely for productivity, of course). Either way, you've probably thought: What if I could make money doing this?
We get it—we're turning our hobby into a hustle too. So if you're ready to tee up your own side income, here are 7 golf side hustle ideas we’re loving:

For the Savvy Sim Owners
Sure, your sim is helping you sink more putts from home. But, you’ve sunk time, money, and soul into building your dream setup. What if it started paying you back?
Neighborhood National helps you turn your sim into a keyholder-style club. They’ll help you launch, manage dues, and handle member access—no tee sheet stress required.
ParSims is like Airbnb for simulators. List your setup and let other golfers in your area book time. It’s an easy way to monetize downtime on your rig.
Either way, your sim becomes an income stream. Pretty sweet.

For the Build Buff
You didn’t just build a sim—you engineered it. If you geek out over turf types, enclosure dimensions, and launch monitor mounts, this one’s for you. If you loved the ins and outs of building a setup, become a sim installer. Plenty of golfers want help bringing their setup to life. The Golf Simulator Installers Facebook Group is a great place to offer your services and connect with nearby golfers who could use a hand.
For the Golf Gear Head
If there’s one thing you know like the back of your gloved hand, it’s golf gear. You know the latest models, the exact clubs that Scottie has in his bag, and your set is your curated pride and joy. Turn that know how into hard cash by becoming a gear flipper! Just check out what Super Swings has accomplished—34.4K followers and counting! So, sharpen those grooves, regrip those clubs, and start reselling.

For the Product Pro
If you’re into Canva AND Callaway, this one’s for you. Let’s take your design skills and make the golf merch you wish you had. And it’s easier than you think. With Printify, you can create custom print-on-demand products—imply upload your design, sync up your shop (e.g. Etsy), and Printify handles the rest. From golf towels to polos, you can design the future of the fairway.
For the Coding Caddie
From Ai-powered putting greens to smart sims, tech is changing the name of the golf game. If you’ve got tech skills, it’s time to put your hat in the ring. Take a look at Mark—he’s side hustling with Golf League Site, an app that’s helping clubs modernize their scoring systems. If you’ve got a big idea and the skills to make it happen, the next big app could be designed by you!
For the Real Estate Tycoon
Are you a chronic Zillow stalker, hunting for your dream vacation home? Buy near a course (or better yet—build a backyard putting paradise), add some sim space, and list it on VRBO or Airbnb when you’re not there. Your second home could become a first pick for golf getaways.

For the Full-Time Fairway Fiend
Why stop at a side hustle? If you're dreaming bigger, we’ve got a full guide on how to launch your own indoor golf facility. Check out our Golf Simulator Business Plan for step-by-step advice on launching your own space.

🆕 Just Dropped: SIGPRO™ Premier Impact Screen

Gray is the new white. The latest screen from SIGPRO just hit the market—and if you’ve been struggling with washed-out projections or a too-bright sim space, this one might be a lifesaver.
It’s built with a gray surface that helps absorb ambient light, keeping your image crisp and clear even if your room isn’t pitch black. And yes—it’s still made with the same premium material as the original SIGPRO white screen.
Best part? It’s on sale for 15% off right now.
We’re curious though...

⛳ Sim Spotlight: The Sim “Par”-gola

This week, we’re featuring a creative golfer who turned a Black Friday deal and some DIY ingenuity into a full-fledged golf simulator—on a budget. From hand-pressed grommets to pergola hacks, here’s how they pulled it off.
What inspired you to install a golf simulator, and why did you choose your specific location?
I wanted to improve my golf swing, so I started with a golf cage net, a hitting mat, and foam practice balls while watching a lot of golf tip videos. After seeing some impressive budget sim builds on YouTube—especially from the Build by Maz channel—I decided to build one myself.
Walk us through your decision-making process. What influenced your choices for the enclosure, launch monitor, software, and other components?
I was looking for launch monitors under $1,000, like the Rapsodo MLM/MLM2Pro and Garmin R10. I ended up buying the Garmin during a Black Friday sale and saved $100. It also has more affordable subscription options. I’m still deciding between the Garmin Golf app and Awesome Golf for software.
What was the most difficult part of setting up your sim, and how did you solve it?
I used waterproof marine awning fabric to cover the enclosure frame and foam paddings. Pressing the grommets into the thick material was tough—I often had to go back and press the same hole twice to get it just right.
Where did you spend the most money in your setup, and was it worth it?
The biggest expense was building the pergola. I already had a projector, so I spent $581 on the Toja Grid 4x4 pergola kit. It was worth every penny—it saved me a lot of time on the build.
If you could go back and do it again, what would you do differently?
I’d make the enclosure and impact screen wider.
What’s your favorite part of your setup, and why?
I’ve got a decent-looking, fully functional golf simulator for just $2,500.
Thanks to u/baicc for letting us show off the setup!
