⛳ 3 Drills to Improve Your Sim Practice Routine

So, you took the plunge and bought a sim. But how do you practice to actually improve your handicap? We're breaking down popular YouTubers’ practice plans, beginning with Handicap Golf. Looking to extend your drives or sharpen your short game on SkyTrak? You’ve come to the right place.

  • Warm-Up:

    • Setting: Fairway on SkyTrak Range, set to Medium difficulty

    • Activity: Use the highest club you're comfortable with and take 10 shots.

    • Goal: Aim to land the ball in the fairway at least 7 out of 10 times.

  • Enhancing Your Striking Distance:

    • Setting: Skills Assessment on SkyTrak

    • Activity: Select any clubs you want to improve. Set specific carry distances for each and take 5 shots with each club.

    • Goal: Target achieving a dynamic handicap of less than 9.

  • Improving Wedge Accuracy:

    • Setting: SkyTrak range. Configure the system for a randomized distance between 30-130 yards and set to 'Difficult,' targeting the smallest greens.

    • Activity: Choose the appropriate wedge for the randomized distance and take 20 shots.

    • Goal: Strive for at least 50% accuracy on your shots.

We put it to the test. Our verdict? 8/10 stars.

What We Like:

  • Goal Getter: Each drill has well-defined targets, which are excellent for tracking progress and motivating improvement.

  • Utilizing SkyTrak Capabilities: We love how Handicap Golfer is utilizing the distance randomizer, working across clubs, and changing up the difficulty.

Room for Growth:

  • Focused Practice: While a broad routine is a great start, honing in on specific clubs on specific days might yield better results.
